Product Description

This fan drive clutch transmits engine torque to the cooling fan, regulating fan speed based on thermal demand. It sits between the crankshaft pulley and the fan hub, engaging and disengaging through a thermostatic or electromagnetic control mechanism. A seized clutch causes continuous fan operation, increasing parasitic power loss and engine warm-up time. A slipping clutch reduces airflow across the radiator, leading to elevated coolant temperatures under load. The clutch is manufactured to match the original assembly's engagement temperature and torque capacity, so no calibration adjustments are needed during installation.
