STIHL 2-MIX engine During the scavenging process, a layer of air not containing fuel is placed between the exhaust gases and the fresh mixture portion in the engine's crankcase. This air cushion reduces fuel losses occurring in connection with the cylinder scavenging process – thus protecting the operator's health and the natural environment. One-hand operation The engine controls have been integrated into the handle. The ergonomic handle with controls is located exactly above the central part of the housing. Operation of the devices is simple and comfortable because the hand rests on the handle at all times. The devices can be carried, depending on preference, on the right or left side. Manual fuel pump The manual fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburetor after pressing the button. This reduces the number of starter rope pulls needed to start the device after a longer standstill. Carrying strap STIHL carrying straps significantly facilitate work, especially during long-term use. The straps provide great freedom of movement. Standard equipment includes a STIHL carrying strap appropriate for the specific device model. STIHL ElastoStart The compression pressure during starting of 2-stroke engines causes recoil that strains the operator's muscles and joints. In the ElastoStart system, a special damping element located in the starter handle stretches according to the acting force and enables smooth starting of the device without jerks.
