This hinge secures the sieve assembly to the frame of a fertilizer spreader. It allows the sieve to pivot open for access to the internal metering components during cleaning or adjustment. A worn hinge introduces play in the sieve, which can cause uneven material flow and inaccurate application rates. The original part matches the pivot-bore diameter and the thickness of the mounting bracket, so no shimming or bushing adapters are required during replacement.
