This protective cover shields the bearing and hub assembly on the disc-harrow gang from soil ingress and crop-wrapping debris. It mounts over the outer end of the gang shaft, enclosing the bearing housing to prevent abrasive material from reaching the seal and rolling elements. A damaged or missing cover allows dirt to pack against the seal, accelerating bearing wear and causing the disc gang to run rough. The cover is formed to match the bearing-housing profile of the original assembly so it seats without interference. On reinstall, ensure the cover is fully seated against the housing shoulder before securing the retaining hardware.
