LOCTITE 249104, also known as LOCTITE SI 5970, is a high-performance grey, thixotropic acetoxy silicone-based gasket forming sealant. This room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) product cures upon exposure to air's humidity, creating a flexible rubber gasket. It is specifically engineered for gasketing applications demanding excellent oil resistance and the capacity to accommodate joint movement. Suitable for general-purpose sealing, stamped covers like timing and oil sumps, and machined flanges. It offers robust resistance to water, oil, coolant, and transmission fluids, operating effectively within a service temperature range of -55°C to +200°C, with intermittent peaks up to +250°C.
