This disc overlay is the replaceable wear surface for the disc blade on a disc harrow. It bolts to the hub of the disc assembly and takes the direct abrasion from soil contact during operation. The central hole aligns with the hub pilot, and the overlay is secured by the existing fasteners. As the overlay wears, the effective cutting diameter of the disc decreases, which reduces soil penetration and increases draft force. Replacing the worn overlay restores the original cutting geometry without requiring replacement of the entire disc blade. On installation, clean the hub face and tighten the mounting bolts to the specified torque.
