This clutch pump supplies hydraulic pressure to actuate the clutch release mechanism in the host tractor. It is mounted on the engine or transmission housing and draws fluid from the system to disengage the clutch when the pedal is pressed. A failing pump produces a soft or incomplete clutch release, making gear engagement difficult. The manufacturer machines the pump bore and piston to match the original assembly's clearance, which maintains the correct flow rate for consistent clutch modulation. On replacement, bleed the hydraulic circuit to remove air before returning the machine to service.
