This straight loader tooth is the forward-pointing engagement element on a front-loader bucket or fork frame. It penetrates the material being handled and transfers the breakout force from the loader arm into the load. The tooth is machined to match the weld-on or bolt-on adapter pocket on the loader carriage, so it seats without side-play. Wear on the tip face reduces penetration efficiency and increases cycle time; a worn tooth also places higher bending stress on the adapter. The manufacturer machines the shank to the same profile as the original adapter pocket, which eliminates the need for shimming or grinding during installation. Torque the retaining bolt to specification on installation.
