This control lever actuates the bale-feed system on the host baler. It transmits operator input through the linkage to engage or disengage the feed mechanism that moves crop material into the baling chamber. A worn lever or pivot point introduces slop in the linkage, which delays feed engagement and can cause inconsistent bale density. The original lever is machined to the same pivot-bore tolerance as the factory assembly, so no bushing shimming is required during installation.
