This race is the bearing track that supports the rotating drum or roller inside a baler. It provides the hardened surface on which the rolling elements travel, maintaining alignment between the rotating and stationary parts of the assembly. Wear on the race surface leads to increased radial play, which can cause vibration and uneven loading on the adjacent bearings and seals. As an original component, the race is machined to the same internal geometry and hardness specification as the part it replaces, so no shimming or modification is needed during installation.
