This friction disc sits inside the PTO driveline and transmits torque from the tractor engine to the implement shaft. It is the primary wear element in the clutch pack; when the disc surface thins, engagement becomes gradual and slip increases under load. The manufacturer machines the disc to the original thickness and tooth profile so that it seats correctly in the hub without altering the clutch’s engagement timing. On installation, inspect the mating surfaces for glazing and replace the retaining hardware if it shows stretch.
