This steering-angle sensor monitors the rotational position of the front-axle steering knuckle and sends an electrical signal to the tractor’s electronic control unit. The ECU uses that data to adjust the response of the hydraulic steering system and, on equipped models, to coordinate rear-wheel steering or implement guidance. A failed sensor causes the steering to feel unresponsive or erratic, and may trigger a warning light or limit the machine’s top travel speed. As an original AGCO component, the sensor body and internal potentiometer are calibrated to the same output curve as the factory-installed unit, so no signal offset or software adjustment is needed after replacement. When installing, ensure the connector is fully seated and the wiring harness is routed clear of moving suspension parts.
