This hydraulic filter element removes particulate contamination from the oil circulating in the tractor's hydraulic system. It sits in the filter housing on the return side of the hydraulic circuit, protecting downstream components such as control valves and the pump from abrasive wear. A clogged element forces the bypass valve open, allowing unfiltered oil to circulate and accelerate internal component damage. As an original-manufacturer component, it matches the housing's seal groove geometry to ensure the bypass valve seats correctly and maintains the specified cracking pressure. Replace the housing seal and torque the cap to specification during reinstallation.
