This pressure control valve mounts in the pump cover and regulates the hydraulic system pressure to a set level. It acts as a relief device, opening when the system pressure exceeds the cracking point and returning excess flow to the reservoir. A valve that fails to hold pressure causes sluggish implement response and reduced lift capacity. The original AGCO part is machined to match the pump cover bore and seal geometry, so the cracking pressure remains consistent with the system design. On reinstallation, ensure the sealing surfaces are clean and the retaining hardware is torqued to specification.
