This repair kit contains the components needed to restore the potentiometer assembly that provides position feedback for the transmission control system. The kit includes the potentiometer itself, mounting hardware, seals, vibration dampers, and the wiring harness that connects the sensor to the electronic control unit. A failing potentiometer causes erratic gear engagement or loss of speed control, as the controller no longer receives a consistent signal from the linkage. The manufacturer supplies the kit as a matched set so that all wear-prone interfaces are replaced simultaneously, avoiding the need to diagnose which individual component has degraded. On installation, ensure the bellows covers are seated correctly to exclude contaminants from the sensor housing.
