This water pump circulates coolant through the engine block and radiator to maintain operating temperature. A failed pump typically causes coolant leakage from the weep hole, overheating, or bearing noise. The set includes four gaskets for the housing and pump interfaces; replace all gaskets on reinstall and torque the mounting bolts to specification.
