This water pump circulates coolant through the engine block and radiator to maintain the operating temperature of the host tractor. It is driven by the engine's accessory belt and mounts directly to the front of the cylinder block. The pump's impeller pushes coolant from the radiator into the engine jacket; a failed pump causes the engine to overheat, leading to head gasket failure or bore scoring. The manufacturer machines the pump housing and impeller to the same dimensions as the original assembly, so no shimming or adapter plates are needed during installation. On reinstall, replace the gasket and torque the mounting bolts to the engine manufacturer's specification.
