This fuel feed pump draws diesel from the tank and delivers it to the injection pump at the required pressure. It is mounted on the engine block and driven by the camshaft; a lever inside the pump follows the cam lobe to create the pumping stroke. A worn pump produces hard starting, low power, or erratic idle because the injection pump cannot maintain the correct inlet pressure. The original AGCO pump uses the same flange geometry and lever position as the factory assembly, so no adapter or bracket modification is needed. On installation, ensure the lever aligns with the cam lobe and that the mounting gasket is replaced to prevent air ingress.
