This fuel filter element mounts in the engine fuel line between the lift pump and the injection pump. It removes particulate and water from the diesel supply before fuel reaches the high-pressure components. A restricted element causes hard starting, power loss, and erratic idle as the injection pump receives insufficient flow. The original AGCO-manufactured filter matches the housing seal geometry and bypass-valve cracking pressure of the factory assembly, so the filter change interval and system priming procedure remain unchanged. On replacement, fill the new element with clean fuel before installation and tighten the housing ring to the specified torque to prevent air ingress.
