This fuel filter removes particulate and water from the diesel supply before fuel reaches the injection pump. It is installed in the engine fuel line, between the lift pump and the high-pressure pump, where it protects the injector nozzles and pump internals from abrasive contaminants. A restricted filter causes a pressure drop that leads to hard starting, power loss, and erratic idle. As an original AGCO component, the filter housing thread and seal geometry match the mounting head exactly, so no adapter or shim is needed for a leak-free seal. Replace the filter at the interval specified in the machine maintenance schedule; pre-fill the new element with clean fuel before installation to avoid air ingress.
