This gear shift lever connects the operator's hand to the gearbox selector mechanism inside the cab. It translates fore-aft and lateral motion into the shift-fork movements that engage the desired gear ratio. As an original AGCO component, the lever is machined to the same pivot-bore tolerance and handle-interface dimensions as the assembly it replaces, so the shift pattern and engagement feel are preserved without modification. A worn lever or its pivot bushings can cause sloppy gate feel, missed engagements, or difficulty finding gears. On installation, verify that the lower end seats fully into the selector rod socket and that the retaining clip or pin is secure.
