This knob is the manual control for raising and lowering the three-point hitch on the host tractor. It is mounted on the interior armrest, where the operator rotates it to actuate the hydraulic lift linkage. The knob connects directly to the control valve rod; a worn or stripped knob makes fine hitch adjustments difficult because the operator cannot positively index the valve position. As an original part, the knob’s internal spline profile matches the valve rod’s spline, preventing slop in the control linkage.
