This seal kit contains the gaskets, O-rings, and seals needed to reseal the engine block and its attached components during an overhaul or top-end repair. It sits at every static joint between the cylinder head, timing cover, oil pan, and front/rear crankshaft housings. A failing seal set allows oil or coolant to escape past the joint faces, which leads to external leaks, oil consumption, or contamination of the cooling system. The kit is assembled to match the original stack height and cross-section of each sealing groove, so the clamping force from the fasteners is distributed evenly across the gasket without over-compressing any single seal. On reinstall, clean the mating surfaces thoroughly and apply thread-locker to the specified fasteners.
