This nut secures the knife blade on the combine header cutterbar. It threads onto the knife-drive stud and holds the blade against the hold-down clip, maintaining the correct cutting gap. A loose or missing nut allows blade movement that leads to uneven cutting and accelerated wear on the knife sections. The nut is an original AGCO part, machined to the same thread pitch and seating face as the factory assembly so no additional shimming or adjustment is needed during installation. Torque the nut to the specification for the knife-drive stud on reinstall.
