This NOX sensor monitors the concentration of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust stream of the host tractor. It sends a signal to the engine control unit, which adjusts the selective catalytic reduction system to maintain the correct dosing of diesel exhaust fluid. A failed sensor can cause the SCR system to enter a derated or limp-home mode, reducing engine power. As an original component from the manufacturer, the sensor is calibrated to the same voltage and response curve as the assembly it replaces, so no reprogramming or adapters are needed. On installation, ensure the connector is fully seated and the wiring harness is routed away from heat sources.
