This intake manifold flat gasket seals the joint between the intake manifold and the cylinder head. It also serves as a seal between the cylinder head and the water manifold, preventing coolant and air leaks at these interfaces. A failed gasket allows unmetered air into the intake stream, which disrupts the air-fuel ratio and can cause rough idling or reduced power. This original AGCO gasket is formed to the same thickness and crush profile as the original assembly, ensuring the manifold bolts achieve the correct clamping load without over-compression. On reinstall, clean both sealing surfaces thoroughly and tighten the manifold bolts in the specified sequence to the correct torque value.
