This O-ring seals the connection between the hydraulic filter housing and the mating port on the three-point linkage circuit. A degraded or pinched O-ring causes a slow fluid weep that reduces system pressure and can introduce aeration, leading to spongy implement response. The part is manufactured to the original cross-section profile so it seats fully in the groove without being over-compressed. Replace the O-ring whenever the filter element is changed; lubricate it with clean hydraulic oil before installation to prevent rolling or pinching during torquing of the housing cap.
