This valve cover gasket seals the joint between the valve cover and the cylinder head on the host tractor engine. It prevents oil leakage and keeps contaminants out of the valvetrain area. A degraded gasket allows oil to weep onto the exhaust manifold, producing smoke and reducing oil pressure at the head. The gasket is manufactured by AGCO to match the original seal profile, which ensures proper compression across the cover flange without over-torquing the fasteners. On reinstall, clean both sealing surfaces and tighten the cover bolts in the sequence and to the torque value specified for the engine.
