This fuel hose carries diesel from the tank to the primary filter or injection pump in the host tractor's fuel system. It is a formed, rigid-length hose that maintains a fixed routing path between the chassis-mounted tank outlet and the engine-mounted components. A cracked or softened hose allows air ingress, which causes the system to lose prime and results in hard starting or erratic engine operation. The hose is manufactured by AGCO to the same internal diameter and wall construction as the original assembly, so it resists collapse under suction and withstands the pressure pulses from the return line. When replacing, ensure the hose ends seat fully in their fittings and that any retaining clips are reinstalled to prevent chafing against adjacent lines.
