This variable-displacement hydraulic pump supplies pressurized oil to the tractor's implement and steering circuits. It adjusts its output flow to match system demand, reducing parasitic power loss when no hydraulic functions are active. The pump mounts to the engine block and is driven by a gear-train take-off; it feeds the priority valve that diverts flow first to steering, then to the rear remote valves and three-point hitch. A worn pump produces slow implement response, erratic steering, or audible whine under load. As an original-manufacturer component, its control-piston bore and swash-plate angle are machined to the same tolerances as the pump housing it replaces, so no shimming or adapter plates are needed during installation. Replace the inlet seal and torque the mounting bolts to specification on reinstall.
