This hydraulic quick coupler socket is the female half of a hydraulic coupling used on the host tractor. It sits at the end of a hose or hard line, accepting the male coupler to create a sealed connection for fluid transfer to an implement or attachment. The socket contains an internal poppet valve that opens when the male coupler is inserted and closes when disconnected, preventing fluid leakage and system contamination. A worn or damaged socket seal allows external leakage and can introduce air into the hydraulic circuit, causing jerky actuator movement.
