This plastic cover shields the upper chain return area of the inclined conveyor on a harvesting machine. It prevents crop material and debris from wrapping around the chain sprocket or accumulating on the tensioner assembly. A missing or cracked cover allows chaff and straw to pack against the moving chain, which can cause the conveyor to jam or the chain to derail. The cover is formed to match the contour of the conveyor housing and is secured with the original fasteners.
