This gasket seals the interface between the threshing unit’s shaker assembly and the surrounding housing. It prevents grain and chaff from leaking past the joint, which would otherwise cause material loss and contamination of the bearings or drive components below. The gasket is compressed between two rigid flanges; a worn or brittle gasket allows fines to escape, leading to gradual efficiency loss in the separation process. Because the gasket matches the original contour of the housing flange, it restores the factory clamp load without requiring additional sealant. On reinstallation, clean both mating surfaces and tighten the retaining bolts evenly to the specified torque.
