This tungsten carbide reinforced chisel is the left-side ground-engaging tool for the plow assembly. It mounts on the plow leg and fractures the soil ahead of the moldboard, reducing draft force on the tractor. The HR2-grade carbide on the leading edge resists abrasive wear from sand and stone, which extends the working life of the point compared to a standard steel chisel. A worn chisel increases fuel consumption and leaves an uneven furrow bottom because the tip no longer maintains the correct working depth. The matching screw for this side is supplied separately; torque the retaining bolt to the manufacturer's specification on installation.
