New Holland 0000 – AIC: Retrieving Fault Codes

Fault code 0000 does not indicate a specific malfunction. It is a system status indication that the vehicle's diagnostic system is in the process of retrieving, viewing, or clearing stored fault codes. This code serves as a gateway to access actual logged diagnostic trouble codes.

   Before clearing any codes, write down all logged fault codes, the number of times they have occurred, and the engine hours at the last occurrence

   Access fault code menu

   Press and hold the escape key (A) and the up arrow key (C) simultaneously for more than two seconds to enter the fault code menu.

   View logged faults

   Scroll through the menu to view logged 'Yellow Faults' (warnings) and 'Red Faults' (critical errors).

   Clear faults from memory

   Use the up or down arrow keys to scroll to 'CONFIG' and press 'ENTER'. Scroll to 'SPECIAL' and press 'ENTER'. Highlight 'RESET ERRORS' and press 'ENTER' twice. Turn the ignition switch OFF and wait for 20 seconds. The memory will be cleared upon the next startup.

   Verify system status

   Operate the machine normally to see if any of the original fault codes reappear, which would indicate an active issue requiring further diagnosis.
