The main hitch controller is receiving an invalid, out-of-range, or missing signal over the CAN data bus regarding the Hitch Load Command, typically originating from the Armrest Controller Module.

   Check for related CAN bus communication codes (e.g., 1024) or 5-volt reference codes to determine if the entire armrest has lost communication.

   Inspect the Hitch Load Command dial/potentiometer on the armrest for physical damage, sticking, or liquid intrusion.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the armrest potentiometer and the Armrest Controller Module for loose pins, corrosion, opens, or shorts.

   Use a multimeter to test the potentiometer's voltage sweep to ensure it provides a smooth, linear signal to the controller without dropouts or dead spots.

   Disconnect battery

   Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts during service.

   Disassemble the armrest control console to access the Hitch Load Command potentiometer.
