New Holland 1023 – CCH: Two draft pin sensors failed when configured for two draft pins.(CCH Only)
Issue description
The tractor's computer is configured to read load signals from two draft pin sensors, but it is detecting that both sensors have failed (typically due to an open circuit, short circuit, or readings outside the normal operating voltage range).

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and connectors leading to the draft pins at the base of the 3-point hitch for breaks, stretching, or corrosion.
Verify the tractor is actually equipped with two draft pins and that a previous owner hasn't replaced one with a standard solid pin.
If draft sensing is not used, check the machine setup calibrations in the diagnostic menu to see if the sensors can be electronically disabled to clear the code.
Repair steps
Lower lift arms
Lower the lift arms completely to remove any physical load or tension from the lower link arms.
Disconnect connector
Disconnect the electrical connector from the failed draft pin sensor.
Remove hardware
Remove the clamp bolts/retaining hardware securing the draft pin to the hitch assembly.
Remove draft pin
Withdraw the faulty draft pin.
Install new draft pin
Lubricate and install the new draft pin sensor, ensuring the pin notch is oriented correctly in the direction of the draft effort (as specified in the service manual).
Reinstall hardware
Reinstall the clamp bolts and torque them to the specified OEM torque rating.
Reconnect harness
Reconnect the electrical harness and clear the codes.
Locate connectors (Option B)
If installing a Draft Pin Elimination Kit (draft sensing not required), locate the draft pin sensor electrical connectors at the rear of the tractor.
Unplug harness (Option B)
Unplug the factory harness from the defective draft pins.
Install elimination kit (Option B)
Plug the dummy modules from a Draft Load Sensing Pin Elimination Kit directly into the tractor's wiring harness.
Secure wiring (Option B)
Secure the modules and wiring safely out of the way using tie wraps to feed a healthy baseline voltage back to the CCH.
