The system's CAN data bus has received an invalid, out-of-range, or missing signal from the momentary hitch control switch (mouse lift lever potentiometer or armrest hitch switch). This typically points to a mechanical failure of the switch itself, a short/open circuit in the switch wiring, or a communication loss between the switch and the controller.

   Inspect the Up/Down momentary switch on the SideWinder II armrest/mouse lift lever for physical sticking, damage, or failure to return to neutral.

   Access wiring beneath the armrest console and inspect the hitch switch connector for loose pins, corrosion, or moisture.

   Test the switch for proper momentary continuity using a multimeter, and verify the 5-volt reference and ground circuits are intact.

   Check for other CAN-related codes (e.g., 1024) to rule out a broader CAN bus communication failure.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor ignition and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts.

   Access the Armrest Console

   Carefully remove the retaining screws and trim panels on the SideWinder II armrest to access the underside of the control joystick/mouse assembly.

   Disconnect the Switch

   Locate the faulty Up/Down momentary hitch switch. Unplug its electrical wiring harness connector.
