New Holland 18047 – ACM: EHR 4 Lever Position - Voltage Too Low
Issue description
The armrest control module has detected an abnormally low voltage signal from the position sensor (potentiometer) of the fourth Electronic Hydraulic Remote (EHR) lever. This indicates a potential short circuit to ground, a wiring issue, or a failure within the sensor itself, which may affect the proper operation of the component associated with this lever position.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness connecting the EHR 4 lever to the main armrest controller, paying close attention to where the harness enters the armrest. Gently pull on individual wires to check for 'stretchy' sections indicating internal breaks.
Check the EHR lever for dirt, dust, or debris that might be obstructing its physical movement.
Attempt an EHR lever calibration, which may resolve the issue if caused by a software update or temporary loss of communication: Ensure the tractor is in a safe state (e.g., park brake applied), access the calibration menu through the display (often in the 'H' menu), and follow on-screen prompts to move the lever to its full extent (raise and lower).
Perform a symptom analysis during an 'aux fault' warning by wiggling each lever one by one; the lever that clears the fault when moved is the problematic one.
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn the tractor's ignition off and disconnect the battery to ensure safety during the electrical work.
Access the Armrest Internals
Disassemble the armrest console to gain access to the EHR lever assemblies and their wiring. This will typically involve removing screws and panels.
Identify and Disconnect EHR 4
Locate the fourth EHR lever assembly. Disconnect the electrical connector from the faulty lever.
Remove the Old Lever
Unbolt or unclip the lever assembly from its mounting point within the armrest.
Install the New Lever
Mount the new EHR lever assembly, ensuring it is securely in place.
Reconnect Electrics
Connect the wiring harness to the new lever assembly.
Reassemble and Test
Reassemble the armrest console. Reconnect the battery and turn the ignition on.
Calibrate
Perform the EHR lever calibration procedure as described in the diagnostic section to ensure the new component is recognized and operates correctly.
