   Perform a visual inspection of the wiring harness and connectors associated with the number 3 rear remote valve for chafed wires, broken wires, loose connections, or corrosion.

   Check the tractor's general system voltage (battery voltage and charging system output) to ensure they are within correct specifications, as a general low voltage condition can trigger this fault.

   Disconnect the wiring harness from the solenoid on the number 3 remote valve, inspect connector pins, and test for voltage at the harness connector with the key on (expected 12-24 volts depending on model).

   Test the solenoid coil with a multimeter set to Ohms to measure resistance across the terminals (checking for an open or short circuit) and check for a short to ground between each terminal and the valve body.

   Rectify wiring issues

   If diagnostic checks reveal damaged wiring or corroded connectors, repair or replace the affected sections of the harness. Ensure all connections are clean and secure.

   Replace the solenoid/coil

   If the solenoid is faulty (open, shorted, or out of spec), relieve all hydraulic pressure and disconnect the battery. Remove the retaining nut or clip, slide the old coil off the valve stem, clean the mounting surface, install the new coil, and reconnect the electrical connector.

   Replace control module

   If the wiring and solenoid are confirmed to be in good condition, the fault may lie within the EHR control module itself. Have a qualified technician replace the controller.

   Calibrate EHR valves

   After replacing a valve or solenoid, perform a calibration of the EHR valves through the tractor's diagnostic menu. This procedure may require a special tool connected to the valve block.
