New Holland ARMRE 10091 – Armrest Controller: Armrest Controller failure - 5 V regulator failure

Internal hardware failure within the controller where the internal 5-volt regulator (which powers the internal circuitry and sensors) has failed or is outputting incorrect voltage.

   Test battery and system voltage directly to ensure it is between 12 and 14 volts. If low, test the alternator output.

   Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST), open the MONITOR window, select 'ARMREST BATTERY VOLTAGE', and verify the controller is receiving proper system voltage.

   Inspect the wiring harness, power, and ground pins at the Armrest Controller connector for corrosion, backed-out pins, or shorts causing a voltage drop.

   Disconnect battery

   Disconnect the tractor's battery power.

   Remove covers

   Remove the armrest console covers to access the Armrest Controller (ARU).

   Disconnect wiring

   Carefully disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the faulty controller.

   Remove controller

   Remove the mounting hardware and extract the old controller.

   Install new controller

   Install the new or remanufactured Armrest Controller and secure it with the mounting hardware.

   Reconnect wiring and power

   Reconnect the wiring harnesses and restore battery power.

   Download software

   Connect the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to the diagnostic port. Capture the new controller in the software and download/flash the correct software payload into the new Armrest Controller.

   Perform calibrations

   Perform any necessary armrest and joystick calibrations as outlined in the EST service tool prompts.
