New Holland ARMRE 1059 – ARM (Armrest Controller / Arm Rest Module) or ARU (Armrest Controller Unit): Hitch SLIP switch is failed

The controller is not receiving a valid signal from the switch used to set the wheel slip limit for the 3-point hitch draft control system.

   Connect the electronic service tool and open the MONITOR window. Select 'Armrest Hitch Slip Switch - ON' and 'Armrest Hitch Slip Switch - SET' to verify if the slip limit switch information is being broadcast over the Tractor Data Bus.

   Open the armrest controller housing and locate connector SW202 for the WHEEL SLIP LIMIT.

   Disconnect the connector and inspect the wiring harness for damage, loose connectors, or bent pins.

   Test the SLIP LIMIT switch and its wiring for continuity. Check the switch in the 'SLIP SELECT' position.

   Verify the specific pinout circuits at the switch connector: Pin 2 (Switch power), Pin 3 (Switch B+), Pin 4 (Signal slip select), Pin 6 (Signal slip set), and Pin 9 (LED ground).

   Power down the tractor and open the right-hand armrest console/controller housing.

   Ensure the machine is fully powered off before accessing the internal components.

   Locate the Hitch Slip Limit Control switch on the control panel.

   Identify the specific switch on the right-hand armrest.

   Disconnect the electrical connector (SW202) from the back of the switch.

   Carefully unplug the connector to avoid damaging the wiring.

   Remove the faulty switch from the armrest panel mounting.

   Extract the old switch from its mounting position.

   Install the new OEM slip limit switch into the panel.

   Secure the replacement switch into the armrest panel.

   Reconnect the wiring harness connector, ensuring the pins are straight and the connection is secure.

   Verify the connection is solid and no pins are bent during reassembly.

   Reassemble the armrest housing.

   Close and secure the right-hand armrest console.

   Turn on the tractor, clear the stored fault codes, and test the hitch slip limit function to ensure the code does not return.

   Verify the repair by testing the system functionality and checking for returning fault codes.
