New Holland ARMRE 1099 – Armrest Controller: Aux remote valve LIMIT SET switch is failed
Issue description
The controller is detecting an open circuit, short circuit, or illogical state from the switch used to set the limits for the auxiliary remote hydraulic valves.
Applies to these machines
5 machines- TG210
- TG230
- TG255
- TG285
- T8000 Series
Check the cause
Inspect the Aux remote valve LIMIT SET switch on the right-hand armrest console for physical damage, sticking buttons, or debris preventing normal operation.
Open the armrest console and inspect the wiring harness leading to the switch for loose connections, backed-out pins, or chafed wires.
Use a multimeter to test the switch for proper continuity when toggled, and verify it is receiving a 5V reference voltage from the Armrest Controller.
Check for other ARM fault codes (e.g., ARM 12013 or ARM 10091) which may indicate a failed 5V regulator inside the Armrest Controller or a CAN bus issue rather than a faulty switch.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the tractor ignition and disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical shorts.
Access the Armrest
Remove the retaining screws securing the top cover/bezel of the right-hand armrest control console.
Locate the Switch
Identify the Aux remote valve LIMIT SET switch assembly within the console matrix.
Disconnect Wiring
Carefully unplug the electrical harness connector from the back of the faulty switch.
Remove the Switch
Depress the retaining tabs or remove the mounting screws holding the switch in the console panel, and pull the switch out.
Install the New Part
Push the new switch into the console slot until it clicks into place (or secure it with its mounting hardware).
Reconnect
Plug the electrical harness connector into the new switch.
Reassemble
Reinstall the armrest cover and secure all screws.
Clear Codes
Reconnect the battery, turn the key on, and use the tractor's performance monitor display or a diagnostic tool to clear the stored ARM 1099 fault code. Test the remote valve limit settings to verify the repair.
Parts you might need
(1)Aux remote valve LIMIT SET switch
May be integrated into a larger remote valve switch pod or the main armrest control circuit board assembly depending on tractor year and model. Provide PIN/Serial Number to dealer to determine.
