Check the cause

  1. Attempt to recalibrate the armrest controls through the A-post monitor or Pro700 display by cycling the levers and dials through their full range of motion to clear a stuck or out-of-range fault

  2. Remove the armrest cover and inspect the wiring harness leading to the 4th remote flow potentiometer for chafed wires, loose connector pins, or corrosion

  3. On older series (like the TG series), check the active CAN bus terminators located inside the armrest for broken solder joints which can cause communication dropouts

Repair steps

  1. Turn off the tractor and disconnect battery power

This prevents short circuits during the repair.

  2. Remove the retaining screws on the armrest console

Lift off the top cover to access the Electronic Hydraulic Remote (EHR) control section.

  3. Locate the specific potentiometer

Find the potentiometer for the 4th remote valve flow control.

  4. Unplug the electrical harness connector

Carefully unplug the connector from the back of the failed potentiometer.

  5. Remove the retaining nut or mounting clip

Remove the hardware securing the potentiometer to the armrest housing, and pull the knob/potentiometer assembly out.

  6. Insert the new potentiometer into the housing

Secure it with the retaining nut/clip.

  7. Reconnect the electrical harness connector

Plug the connector into the back of the new potentiometer.

  8. Reassemble the armrest console cover

Secure the cover back onto the armrest console.

  9. Restore battery power and perform an armrest calibration

Perform the calibration via the tractor's display to ensure the new potentiometer's minimum and maximum voltage values are learned by the Armrest Controller.
