New Holland ARMRE 18009 – Armrest Controller (ARM or ARU): Multi-function handle - voltage too high

The signal voltage coming from the multi-function handle (CommandGrip) has exceeded the maximum expected limit. This condition is typically caused by a short to power in the wiring harness, a damaged connector, or an internal failure of the handle's potentiometers/sensors.

   Inspect the wiring harness running from the multi-function handle down through the armrest console for pinched wires, chafing, or exposed copper that could be shorting to a 12V power source.

   Disconnect the multi-function handle and inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture, or bent terminals that could bridge the voltage supply to the signal wire.

   Use the tractor's IntelliView monitor or the Armrest controller's built-in 'H9 Voltmeter diagnostic' menu to read the live sensor voltage of the handle.

   Isolate the handle: If the wiring harness tests good (no shorts to power) and the voltage reading remains pegged high when the handle is plugged in, the internal circuitry of the multi-function handle has failed.
