Issue description
The signal voltage returning from the powershift hand throttle potentiometer has exceeded the maximum threshold expected by the controller. This is typically caused by a short to a power source, an open ground circuit, or an internal failure of the potentiometer itself.

Check the cause
Check the ground circuit between the powershift throttle potentiometer and the Armrest Controller for an open circuit (an open ground causes signal voltage to float high).
Inspect the signal wire from the throttle sensor to the controller for chafing or pinched wires that could be shorting the signal wire to a 12V or 5V power source.
Back-probe the sensor to monitor the signal voltage while moving the throttle. The voltage should sweep smoothly without spiking out of range. If stuck high, the sensor has failed internally.
Ensure the 5V reference supply from the Armrest Controller is stable and not shorted to battery voltage.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the key switch and disconnect the battery ground to prevent electrical damage.
Access the Armrest
Remove the necessary trim panels on the operator's armrest console to access the Multi-Function Handle and throttle linkages.
Repair Wiring
If diagnostics revealed a broken ground or shorted signal wire, repair the harness using appropriate electrical splices and heat shrink.
Replace the Sensor/Handle
If the wiring is intact but the sensor failed the sweep test, replace the powershift throttle potentiometer. (Note: Depending on the specific cab configuration, the throttle sensor may be integrated into the Multi-Function Handle assembly and cannot be serviced separately).
Reassemble
Reconnect all harnesses and reinstall the armrest trim panels.
Calibrate
Reconnect the battery. You must clear the stored fault codes and perform a throttle/armrest calibration (often accessed via the tractor's "H" menu or an electronic service tool). This teaches the Armrest Controller the new minimum and maximum voltage values for the replacement sensor.
