New Holland ARMRE 18027 – Armrest Control Module (ACM): EHR 5 lever position - voltage too low

The signal voltage from the potentiometer for the 5th Electro-Hydraulic Remote (EHR) lever has dropped below the acceptable threshold. If the tractor is not physically equipped with a 5th remote valve lever, the system is throwing this code because the Armrest Control Module (ACM) is incorrectly configured in the software to look for a lever that does not exist.

   Verify if the tractor is actually equipped with a 5th EHR remote valve (if not, this is a software configuration issue)

   Inspect the wiring harness and H4 connectors between the EHR 5 lever potentiometer and the Armrest controller for open circuits, damaged pins, or a short to ground

   Test the 5V reference voltage and the signal ground at the lever's potentiometer

   Software Reconfiguration (If applicable)

   If the tractor does not have a 5th remote, use the Electronic Service Tool (EST) to access the Armrest controller configuration and correct the remote valve setup so it no longer looks for EHR 5.

   Access the Armrest Controls

   If the lever is present and faulty, power down the tractor and remove the armrest control panel cover to access the EHR lever assemblies.

   Remove the Faulty Lever

   Disconnect the electrical harness connector for the EHR 5 lever. Remove the retaining screws holding the lever assembly in place.

   Install the Replacement Part

   Install the new EHR control lever/potentiometer assembly and secure it with the screws. Reconnect the electrical harness.

   Reassemble and Calibrate

   Reinstall the armrest panel. Turn the key on and perform a remote valve spool calibration using the tractor's display monitor or EST to ensure the new lever is recognized and functions correctly.
