Issue description
This code indicates that the signal voltage coming from the potentiometer inside the Electronic Hitch/Hydraulic Remote (EHR) lever #6 is reading above the normal operating threshold (typically a short to power or a failed sensor). If the machine is not equipped with a 6th remote valve lever, this code is a false flag caused by an incorrect software configuration inside the Armrest Control Module.

Check the cause
Verify machine configuration (Configuration cause): Physically check the number of EHR remote levers on the armrest. If the tractor has fewer than 6 remotes, do not diagnose hardware; this is an ACM configuration error.
Inspect the wiring (Hardware cause): If a 6th lever is present, open the armrest console and inspect the wiring harness to EHR 6 for pinched wires, chafing, or damaged connector pins.
Test voltages: Disconnect the EHR 6 lever and use a multimeter to verify it is receiving a steady 5V reference and a good sensor ground from the ACM.
Test the potentiometer: Check the signal wire voltage while moving the lever. If voltage is stuck high (near 5V or 12V) regardless of movement, the internal potentiometer has failed.
Repair steps
Connect diagnostic tool
Scenario A (Tractor does NOT have a 6th EHR Lever): Connect the New Holland Electronic Service Tool (EST) laptop to the tractor's diagnostic port.
Navigate to ACM settings
Navigate to the Armrest Control Module (ACM) configuration settings.
Update configuration
Update the configuration to match the actual number of hydraulic remotes installed on the machine (e.g., change from 6 to 4).
Save and clear codes
Save the configuration, cycle the key, and clear the inactive fault codes.
Disconnect battery
Scenario B (Tractor DOES have a 6th EHR Lever): Power off the tractor and disconnect the battery.
Remove console cover
Remove the armrest console cover to access the EHR lever blocks.
Disconnect EHR lever
Disconnect the electrical connector for EHR lever #6.
Remove faulty lever
If the wiring harness tested fine during diagnostics, remove the mounting screws holding the faulty EHR lever assembly in place.
Install new lever
Install the new EHR lever assembly (the potentiometer is integrated into the lever unit and cannot be serviced separately).
Reassemble console
Reconnect the wiring harness and reassemble the armrest console.
Calibrate EHR lever
Power on the tractor. You must perform the EHR lever calibration procedure (often accessible via the tractor's H-Menu or the EST tool) so the ACM can learn the new lever's neutral, full-extend, and full-retract voltage values.
Clear codes and test
Clear the fault code and test the hydraulic remote for proper operation.
