New Holland ARMRE 18066 – Armrest Control Module (ACM) / Arm Rest Unit (ARU): EHR 1 lever implausibility error
Issue description
The Electronic Hitch Control (EHR) lever #1 is sending an implausible signal to the controller, meaning the voltage signals coming from the potentiometers or switches inside the lever do not match the expected parameters or are conflicting.
Applies to these machines
9 machines- New Holland T7 Series
- New Holland T7.220
- New Holland T7.235
- New Holland T7.250

Check the cause
Check the EHR 1 lever for physical damage, sticking, or debris preventing it from returning to the neutral position.
Remove the armrest cover and inspect the PCB harness and the specific electrical connector going to EHR lever #1. Look for backed-out pins, corrosion, or pinched wires.
Attempt to recalibrate the EHR levers using the tractor's instrumentation display (turn engine off, key on, ensure levers are neutral, access EHR calibration menus, press DECR until 'LEVER' calibration is selected, and follow prompts).
Repair steps
Disconnect battery
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent shorting the armrest PCB.
Remove armrest cover
Remove the retaining screws for the armrest console cover to expose the internal EHR lever bank and the printed circuit board (PCB).
Locate EHR lever #1
Locate EHR lever #1 (usually the first lever in the sequence, color-coded to match the rear remote).
Unplug electrical connector
Carefully unplug the electrical connector linking the EHR 1 lever to the armrest PCB harness.
Remove faulty lever
Unbolt the mounting hardware securing the EHR 1 lever to the armrest housing and remove the faulty lever.
Install new lever
Install the new EHR lever into the housing and secure the mounting hardware.
Reconnect harness
Reconnect the electrical harness to the new lever.
Reassemble armrest
Reassemble the armrest console cover.
Calibrate EHR lever
Reconnect the battery, power on the tractor, and perform the EHR lever calibration procedure via the instrumentation display so the ACM learns the new lever's potentiometer values.
