ARMRE 18067

New Holland ARMRE 18067 – Armrest Module: EHR 2 lever implausibility error

Issue description

The control module is receiving an erratic, out-of-range, or conflicting voltage signal from the internal potentiometer/switch of the number 2 remote lever.

Applies to these machines

  • New Holland T6
  • New Holland T7
  • New Holland T8
  • New Holland T9

Check the cause

  1. Check the physical condition of the EHR 2 lever on the armrest to ensure it is not physically stuck, broken, or obstructed by debris.

  2. Attempt to recalibrate the EHR levers through the tractor's display (IntelliView / Pro700) or the A-post instrument cluster to rule out a calibration loss or software glitch.

  3. Inspect the wiring harness and connector under the armrest cover for the EHR 2 lever. Look for loose pins, corrosion, or chafed wires.

  4. Swap the EHR 2 lever with an adjacent remote lever (e.g., EHR 3 or EHR 4). If the fault code changes to the new position (e.g., 18068), the lever is defective. If it remains 18067, the issue is in the wiring or Armrest Module.

  5. Use the CNH Electronic Service Tool (EST) to monitor the live voltage output of the EHR 2 lever while moving it. Look for voltage spikes, dropouts to 0V, or erratic readings indicating a failed potentiometer.

Repair steps

  1. Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery

    This prevents electrical shorts.

  2. Remove the armrest control cover/panel

This provides access to the underside of the EHR levers.

  3. Locate the EHR 2 lever assembly

Identify the specific lever assembly to be replaced.

  4. Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connector

Disconnect it from the EHR 2 lever.

  5. Remove the retaining screws or clips

These hold the faulty lever in the armrest console.

  6. Remove the old lever and install the new replacement lever

Swap the faulty component with the new one.

  7. Secure it with the retaining hardware and reconnect the electrical connector

Ensure the new lever is firmly in place and electrically connected.

  8. Reinstall the armrest cover

Put the control cover/panel back in place.

  9. Turn the key on and perform the EHR lever calibration procedure

Perform this via the tractor's display. This is a mandatory step so the Armrest module can learn the new lever's neutral, minimum, and maximum voltage positions.
